Gujarat is the most preferred destination of 43% funded start-ups

- Government of Gujarat
launched the new Start-up
Policy 2015 to inspire new ideas of young
industrialists and to
empower the youth inside the
state. With this
policy, Gujarat has currently emerged as
the Start-up hub with a share of forty third percentage of the one hundred fifty funded startups.
- In addition to the new Start-up Policy 2015, the government of Gujarat’s Department of Science and Technology has launched the IT ITeS & physics Start-ups Policy and so the Department of higher and Technical Education launched the scholar Start-up Innovation Policy to encourage start-ups.
- As per the report of
NASSCOM (IT business body of Govt. of
India), there has been
a rise in startups at annual
average of 12-
15% from 2014
to 2019.
- From 2014 -
2019, fourth three percent out of the one hundred and fifty funded startups in India have
emerged in
Gujarat.
- As a result of the assistance provided by Chief
Minister Shri Vijay Rupani,
young start-ups within the state have gotten ample opportunities to develop
and expand start-ups through money help, on-line application, monitoring, and following facility.
- More than 9000 start-ups have been
established in the country from 2014 to 2019. Out of this, Gujarat has quite 1500
registered start-ups.
- 10 lakh Rs. help is provided for stuff and resources necessary for the
innovative conception of start-ups. Except this,
incubators are given capital help of up to fifty percent. Steering help up to five lakh rupees each year and exemption in power tariff and
electricity duty.
- The start-up culture has gained momentum because of this cheering approach of the Govt of
Gujarat. Activities of incubators,
start-ups in teaching establishments, native universities are given opportunities to develop and form their concepts and ideas.
- With the inspiration of Prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modi, the institution of iCreate within
the state with the cooperation of Israel has given
a chance to the youth for ideologic exchange and technology sharing. Help is additionally being provided for start-up innovations
through iCreate.
- Given the importance and potential of this whole eco-system of Gujarat in status, the upcoming
Start-up Convention of BIMSTEC countries
including Bangladesh, India, Bhutan, Myanmar,
Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Nepal is going to be held
in Gujarat.
- Since 2016, the state has provided help of
Rs.140-crore to start-ups and quite 4000 people have gotten employment
opportunities in varied start-up sectors.
